Meet our Coaches - Manuel
St Moritz Ski Club is unique in that we have our pick of the best instructors Thredbo has to offer. In fact, we have instructors knocking on our door, begging to come coach St Moritz! Every winter, the same amazing instructors return year after year so we can offer a level of coaching consistency and learning fluency that no other program in the mountains can offer.
One of these fab instructors is the coach of our race squad, Manuel. 2018 will be his 4th season with St Moritz and we are so excited to have him back in Thredbo. And we'd love for you to meet him...
Manuel was born in Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy) in 1984 and started skiing at the age of 3 years. As Manuel says "I married with my ski boots!" (I'm sure his girlfriend is happy to hear that ;-) Manuel raced in Italy until the age of 16, but unfortunately his World Cup racing dreams were cut short due to injury. Not to be deterred in making a career on the snow, he achieved his ski instructor qualifications in 2004. Since then, he has expanded his teaching and gained further qualifications in specialties such as telemark, free-ride and disabled snow sports. In 2013 Manuel achieved the accreditation of Italian Federal Ski Coach. "I love skiing!! Ski is my life.."
